Munhoz & Mariano is a Brazilian sertanejo duo from Campo Grande, Mato Grosso Do Sul. Formed in 2006 by childhood friends Raphael Calux Munhoz and Ricardo Mariano Bijos Gomes, the duo specializes in sertanejo universitario, a simplified variant of the traditional genre (loosely described as Brazil's take on country music) more reliant on pop music instrumentation.
