Based in New Jersey, Nepenthe began their progressive rock career in 1990. Their first, short-lived moniker was Ars Nova and the original lineup was Todd Mizenko (guitar), Matt Mizenko (bass), Jamie Boruch (drums), Dan Vitco (keys), and Ernie Atella (vocals). Both Vitco and Atella left the group the following years. Vitco was replaced by Eddie Konczal while Keith Watlington became the new vocalist for the band. It was this lineup that recorded 1992's Turning the Tide. Watlington left Nepenthe in 1994 and was replaced by Jason Rosenfeld. With that lineup they released Everythin...
