Neurosis

Neurosis is one of the first and foremost experimental metal bands. They were one of the first to rework the genre's sound in a genuinely boundary-pushing fashion, developing a style that blended industrial, heavy metal, and alternative rock with often spiritually focused lyrics. Debuting in 1987 with Pain of Mind, the group would go on to issue a slew of albums while working closely with the late Steve Albini.
