New Regency Orchestra

New Regency Orchestra (NRO) is a 20-piece big band. Since 2021, their mission is to pay homage to the Afro-Cuban musicians from the 1940s to the '80s using the sonic gaze of London's inclusive, intrepid, 21st century jazz and R&B scenes. Featuring 12 horns and an eight-piece percussion rhythm section, NRO's sound is hard-driving, bright, powerful, and infectiously danceable; it is also influential as several likeminded big bands have sprung up in its wake.
