Norberto Vélez and Gerardo Rivas, the vocalists who make up pop-salsa trailblazing duo NG2, were far from newcomers when they arrived on the scene. Vélez embarked on his performance career at the age of ten, playing traditional Puerto Rican music with local groups and joining the Orquesta Trompeta de Trovadores by 17. Under the direction of Elías Lopés, Vélez developed from a talented musician into an adept singer.
