Sweet-voiced female rapper Nitty Scott, MC was Michigan-born and Florida-raised before moving to Brooklyn at the age of 17, during her senior year at art school. Through social networking, she generated an online buzz for her freestyles, and garnered even more praise in 2011 when she uploaded a mixtape titled The Cassette Chronicles, a prelude to her Boombox Diaries, Vol. 1 EP, which was scheduled for release that summer. ~ Jason Lymangrover
