Once New Jersey metallists Hades decided to go their separate ways in the late '80s, several former members formed Non-Fiction. Former Hades singer Alan Tecchio and guitarist Dan Lorenzo launched the group in 1989, attempting to expand upon their metal roots by injecting elements of alt-metal (Soundgarden being the most obvious inspiration).
