Biography
The first artist from North America (though Austrian-born, he was reared in Canada) to have won the Segovia International Competition in Mallorca, Spain (1985), Norbert Kraft has achieved a reputation as one of the world's finest guitarists. His ascent to celebrity began with his winning the Grand Prize in Canada's CBC Radio Competition in 1979. Kraft also founded and serves as artistic director of the internationally respected Toronto Guitarfest. Following his success in the Segovia Competition, Kraft began recording.
