Obliveon

Qu+¬bec, Canada's Obliveon first formed in 1987, but despite a number of demos (with original drummer Francis Gigu+¿re) the eventual lineup of St+¬phane Picard (vocals/bass), Pierre R+¬millard (guitar), Martin Gagn+¬ (guitar), and Alain Demers (drums), they only got around to recording their debut album From This Day Forward after signing with Active Records in 1990. Containing a top-notch blend of technical thrash and death metal, the album met with great critical acclaim, but received little to no promotional support, and went largely unheard by most metal consumers.
