France has its own mumble rap scene and Oboy is one of its foremost practitioners. Seemingly as elusive as his delivery, the Madagascar native - born Mihaja Ramiarinarivo in 1997 and raised on a diet of Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and 2Pac by his father before finding inspiration in the A$AP Mob and Migos - first emerged as part of the Way Boto collective as a teenager, debuting on their 2016 mixtape Hoverboard.
