Oméga

Omega, also known as Omega el Fuerte or Omega y Su Mambo Violento, is a Dominican merengue vocalist with an urban style informed by hardcore rap and reggaeton. Born Antonio Peter de la Rosa in Bonao, Dominican Republic, the merengue urbano vocalist grew up in the Pantoja neighborhood of Santo Domingo. He made his full-length album debut with Omega y Su Mambo Violento in 2006 on the label Allegro Music. The album spawned his break-out hit, "Alante Alante."
