A top clarinetist from Sweden, Ove Lind became well known in his country for his Benny Goodman-influenced playing. Lind played with Simon Brehm in 1949, Thore Swanerud's sextet and then the Swinging Swedes from 1952-54. In 1954, Lind and bassist Gunnar Almstedt co-led a quartet (which for a time had pianist Bengt Hallberg) that grew to a sextet in 1956 and lasted until 1962.
