Pianist Oxana Shevchenko has found success in the West, where she was partly trained, and in East Asia. She is visible as a chamber music performer as well as an orchestral soloist and recitalist.
Shevchenko was born in Alma-Ata (now Almaty), Kazakhstan, then part of the Soviet Union, in 1987. She began music studies at age seven with Valentina Tartyshnyaya.
