Paul de Marinis

Studied at the Center for Contemporary Music, Mills College. Collaborated with composer Robert Ashley on the music for In Sara, Mencken, Christ and Beethoven, There Were Men and Women. Many innovative uses of modern technology to make audio installations, for example, the movements of fish in a tank to generate electronic cues, and tapping the lasers found in CD players to read grooves and textures of natural surfaces and ancient ceramics as "Sound Archaeology." ~ "Blue" Gene Tyranny
