Penny Rimbaud

Best known as one of the founding members of the influential anarchist punk group Crass, Penny Rimbaud has enjoyed a long and fruitful career as an artist, author, activist, and musician. Rimbaud was born Jeremy John Ratter in Southwest London, England on June 8, 1943. Intelligent and free-thinking from an early age, Ratter was kicked out of two different schools -- South East England's Brentwood School and North Wales' Lindisfarne College -- in his teens for his defiant outlook.
