Although Pepper's members are originally from Kona, Hawaii, the trio doesn't play traditional Hawaiian music. Rather, Pepper's music is a melodic and accessible blend of alternative pop/rock, punk, and reggae. Emerging in the late '90s, the band gained a loyal following with regular touring and issuing albums like 2001's Kona Town and 2009's Kona Gold.
