Péricles Aparecido Fonseca de Faria is a popular Brazilian singer of samba and pagode. Born in Santo André (São Paulo) in 1969, he first achieved widespread recognition as a member of Exaltasamba, a pagode band he joined in 1986. Péricles remained with Exaltasamba for 25 highly successful years, releasing some twenty studio and live albums and earning any number of accolades, including a Latin Grammy.
