Biography

Argentinean contemporary folk musician Peteco Carabajal was mostly influenced by his father who used to play in a group called Santiago Manta after his family moved to Buenos Aires, having his first hit, El Mimoso, in 1971. Peteco Carabajal started singing at the age of 17, forming a threesome named Santiago Trio with his cousin Roberto and Shalo Leguizamon. Local artist Hugo Díaz got them a deal, recording for the first time along with Agustín Gómez and percussionist Domingo Cura.
