Peter Gammons

Peter Gammons is a widely respected sports writer and media personality who has a strong association with Boston and the Boston Red Sox, a team he covered for years as a writer at The Boston Globe. Gammons, who was born April 9, 1945, began his journalism career after graduating from the University of North Carolina in 1969. Aside from The Globe, he has also written extensively for Sports Illustrated and authored the book Beyond the Sixth Game, a look at free agency in baseball.
