Biography
Arguably the most successful British comedian of his generation, Peter Kay has also been responsible for some of the biggest-selling singles of the noughties. Born in Bolton in 1973, he studied for a media performance diploma at Salford University before performing standup routines on the local circuit. After he was nominated for the Edinburgh Festival's Perrier Award, he landed his own mockumentary TV show That Peter Kay Thing, and released a hugely successful live DVD, Live at the Top of the Tower.
