The British clarinetist Peter Sparks has combined a diverse career as a performer with an important teaching career. Co-principal clarinet at the English National Opera, he has appeared on several recordings.
Sparks began his career as a church chorister but switched to the clarinet after he discovered he liked the sound of the instrument. From 1995 to 1998, he was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and he later joined the Britten/Pears Orchestra.
