Asheville, North Carolina singer/songwriter Pierce Edens emerged in the early 2000s, cultivating a rootsy Americana sound influenced by the regional mountain folk he grew up listening to. Edens underwent a phase of obsession with punk and grunge in his teenage years, and ultimately created a fiery synthesis by merging the more aggressive scuzzy sounds he was drawn to in his teens with the traditional acoustic music he was raised on.
