Gospel artist Psalmist Raine has been using her gift as a vocalist since childhood, first appearing at the age of six on Chicago's Isabelle Joseph Johnson weekly Sunday morning radio show, then a couple of years later on Gatling's Radio program. A lifelong Chicagoan, Raine continued singing in church and community choirs throughout her school days and during her time at Louisiana's Grambling State University.
