Quinie

Under the artist moniker Quinie, vocalist Josie Vallely creates powerful experimental folk songs primarily sung in Scots, one of the three official languages of her homeland Scotland. Quinie went from singing songs in the style of traditional Scottish Traveler singers to embarking on an artistic pilgrimage of her own. She traveled on horseback through the Argyll region of Western Scotland, collecting the seeds of inspiration that would become her 2025 album Forefowk, Mind Me.
