Known as one of the most prolific composers in the Spanish rock scene, singer/songwriter Ramoncín (born José Ramón Julio Martínez Márquez) began writing poems while attending acting classes. He debuted live in 1973 at a local club called Long Play, singing Bob Dylan's "Blowing in the Wind" and Don McLean's "American Pie"; he formed his own band in 1975.
