Ray Vaughn is a West Coast rapper who signed to Top Dawg Entertainment at an interesting time. The West Coast label, known for breaking acts like Schoolboy Q and SZA, offered Vaughn a deal just as Kendrick Lamar, the company's flagship artist, was leaving.
