Red Radio Flyer is a New York City-based alternative country-rock band that was founded in 1997 by singer/songwriters Janardana Ryan and Mike Jones. The group started out performing in folk clubs and coffeehouses throughout New York and the Northeast, evolving into a full-fledged rock band before heading into the studio in 1999 to record their debut album, Gettin' Somewhere.
