Rein Mercha

Dutch singer Reinard Dewus -- known as Rein Mercha -- found fame as a contestant on television talent show Blood, Sweat & Tears in 2013. Born in The Hague in 1963, the singer is of Sinti Romani descent, and this culture has heavily influenced his gypsy-folk music style. His first release came in 2010 with Vuur, which contained songs performed in his native Sinti language.
