Richard Lloyd knocked the world out in the 1970s with his transcendent guitar technique in the band Television, and when the band dissolved in ’79, he released a handful of albums that further cemented his reputation as a brilliant instrumentalist and writer. Drug problems slowed down his productivity for a while, but by the mid-‘80s Lloyd was clean and sober.
