Born in 1994, Italian rapper and songwriter Mirko "Rkomi" Martorana grew up in the Milan periphery. While he did not manage to finish high school and worked a variety of menial jobs, music always provided a haven. Encouraged by his flatmate Tedua (who'd also become a prominent rapper), Rkomi started releasing material as early as 2012, showcasing an undeniable gift for storytelling and often accompanied by fellow travelers such as the abovementioned Tedua and Izi.
