Rockin' Dopsie, Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters

Carrying on the traditions of his late father, singer and rubboard player Rockin' Dopsie Jr. emerged among contemporary zydeco's most successful second generation performers. Born David Rubin, he took over his father's group the Zydeco Twisters following Dopsie's 1993 death; without missing a beat, Junior led the band on their scheduled tour and also assumed control of their regular performances at New Orleans' Maple Leaf Bar.
