Romina Basso

Italian mezzo-soprano Romina Basso is a specialist in Baroque opera, especially known for her performances of Vivaldi. She attended the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venice, and earned a degree in Italian literature at Trieste University before launching her vocal career. She participated in several competitions, notably the Palma d'Oro, the Associazione Lirica Concertistica Italiana, Modena Musica, and Operalia Placido Domingo, among others.
