Ron Kuivila

Sound installation artist and composer Ron Kuivila often uses electronic instruments of his own design, but is also noteworthy as an early user of ultrasounds and live sound sampling. Throughout the '80s and '90s, Kuivila has received commissions and honors from a number of sources, including the NYSCA, NEA, Jerome Foundation, and Austria's Ars Electronica.
