Starting out a romantic singer, Rosana Toledo was also successful in the disco and MPB styles with her gospel-tinged vocal interpretations. Singing since her early teens in her father's group Casanova's, she made her debut at the MPB Shell Festival (TV Globo) in 1981, but her first hit came with "Nem Um Toque," from a demo tape that was used in the TV Globo soap opera Roda de Fogo.
