Together with Native American drum group, the Tribe, Rusty Diamond helped to make the multi-artist album, Gathering Of Nations Powwow, the first Native American recording to receive a Grammy award in 1999. Recorded in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the album brought Diamond and the Tribe together with similar drum groups including White Horse, Sage Point, Seekaskootch, Southern Cree, White Clay and the Maskquaki Nation.
