Ruth Notman

b. 1989, Nottingham, England. Guitarist and singer-songwriter Notman was one of several young musicians to make their mark on the UK folk scene in the late 00s. After learning guitar and piano at an early age, she began playing live sessions at Mansfield Folk Club while still in her early teens. She studied music while completing her A-levels at Bilborough College, where she also began performing with fellow student Bryony Bainbridge.
