Sacramentum

Specializing in icy and melodic blackened death metal, Sweden's Sacramentum is known for pairing baleful atmospherics with brutal intensity, as heard on their acclaimed 1996 debut album Far Away from the Sun. The band issued two more influential albums, The Coming of Chaos (1997) and Thy Black Destiny (1999), before ceasing operations in 2001.
