Salvatore Di Vittorio is a conductor, composer, and musicologist. The founding music director of the Chamber Orchestra of New York, he has specialized in the music of Ottorino Respighi and has completed or prepared for performance several of that composer's forgotten works.
Born on October 22, 1967, in Palermo, Italy, Di Vittorio took his first music lessons from his father, Giuseppe, who introduced him to the operas of Verdi and Puccini.
