Biography

The San Francisco Girls Chorus has an unusual structure involving choral education as well as top-level performances that has attracted national attention in the U.S. Its total membership includes hundreds of singers from 45 cities in the San Francisco Bay Area, some as young as four. The San Francisco Girls Chorus was formed in 1978 by Elizabeth Appling, who served as director until 1992. Subsequent directors have included Sharon J.
