Biography
Mexican singer and songwriter Sergio Esquivel started getting involved in music while studying physical education in Mexico City, writing lyrics at night inspired by the family he left behind. A ballad dedicated to his sister called "Rocio" became his first song. Back to Yucatán, Sergio Esquivel started working during the day and performing at night. In 1968, Esquivel formed a short-term duet with Ramón Triay. Soon after, the artist returned to Mexico City spending precious time while studying music and planning his solo career.
