A side project of Type O Negative members Kenny Hickey and Johnny Kelly, Seventh Void were originally conceived in 2003 during the recording of Type O's Life Is Killing Me. Seventh Void eschew the goth influence found in Type O Negative in favor of a dirtier stoner/doom sound, with Southern metal riffage reminiscent of Pantera combined with the slow, plodding heaviness of Crowbar.
