Skullcap are a Washington, D.C.-based improvising trio. Their music crosses jazz and rock with a classically informed, polyrhythmic, melodic approach that is as immediate as it is powerful. The band's membership includes cellist/composer Janel Leppin, guitarist Anthony Pirog, and drummer Mike Kuhl. Their music is extremely kinetic, ever-evolving. and intensely creative. All members write, often together in the studio or at rehearsal.
