French group Soaring makes cleanly produced blackgaze, finding the exact midway point between the torment of black metal and the dreamy longing of shoegaze. Moreso than some of their peers, Soaring embrace the lush details of their shoegaze influences, with dynamic shifts in guitar tones and plaintive, reverb-soaked singing sharing space with anguished screams on their self-titled 2025 debut EP.
