The charmingly titled Soccer Team first stormed onto the pitch that is the D.C. music scene in 2006 with their debut CD, Volunteered Civility & Professionalism. Made up of former Most Secret Method and Beauty Pill member and Dischord Records employee Ryan Nelson and former Dischord employee Melissa Quinley, Soccer Team was a collaboration based around songs, ideas, and sonic architecture that took shape on four-track cassette and eight-track quarter-inch tape recordings beginning in 2005.
