Punctuated by dexterous guitars, wild synths, and heavy, singalong riffs and melodies, Swedish quartet Solence are appealingly hard to categorize. After spending part of the 2010s adapting various pop songs in a metalcore style, their original works -- including their debut album Brothers (2019) and artistic high points like Hope Is a Cult (2023) and Angels Calling (2025) -- sound alternately like mainstream pop songs with amped-up rock arrangements and vice-versa.
