Mexican electronic duo Sotomayor mix in elements of Latin music, Afro-beat, and lots of percussion, passing them all through the lens of bass music. Siblings Raul (production) and Paulina Sotomayor (vocals) grew up in Mexico City, where Paulina originally performed in the indie folk band Jefes del Desierto and Raul formed one half of jazz-funk duo Beat Buffet, along with running a Sunday afternoon party called Day Off.
