Korean pianist Soyeon Lee was born in Seoul in 1979, and moved to the United States when she was nine. She studied with Marina di Pretoro, and worked with Victoria Mushkatkol at the Interlochen Arts Academy. She went on to study with Jerome Lowenthal and Robert McDonald at the Juilliard School, where she received her baccalaureate and master's degrees, as well as her Artist Diploma.
