Spindrift are a cinematically inspired rock band that call Los Angeles home by way of their hometown, Newark, Delaware. The group was founded by singer, songwriter, and actor Kirpatrick Thomas. The group's early sound, as depicted on recordings such as Diablo and No Way to Anthill Heaven -- which appeared in 1994 and 1996, respectively -- was influenced heavily by the sounds of the the Doors, My Bloody Valentine, Hawkwind, Bruce Haack, and Chrome.
