Providing the link between classic British guitar pop and post-punk, Squeeze are one of the most celebrated pop bands of their generation. Major stars in the U.K. and a major cult item in North America, Squeeze are the vehicle for the songwriting of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, who were hailed as the heirs to Lennon and McCartney's throne during their heyday in the 1980s.
