Stanton Davis

b. 10 November 1945, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. After studying and playing trumpet locally, Davis attended the Berklee College Of Music, graduating at the end of the 60s, then continued his studies at the New England Conservatory of Music. He worked in radio and clubs in the Boston area, gradually extending his skills and experience with a variety of engagements with leaders such as Lester Bowie, Charlie Haden, George Gruntz and Richard Muhal Abrams.
